This blog has been an experiment in tolerance, now concluded. At the moment it is functioning as an archive to my commissions and doodles. New work may be occasionally added, but it will no longer be on a daily basis.

Dutch Masters Fan Art Friday
If based on success, this would be the first and last day of DMFAF. This was just a quick sketch, done while drooling over Dordrechts' Head of a Young Woman. The original is worth looking up, but posting it here would have just made me look like a butcher. More adventures in "choosing features positioned in the most difficult ways possible" to come.

Here's What I've Been Doing the Past Few Days:
These were all commissions, I added in the one draft because it took me a days worth of forced art allottment to figure out the pose.

Starstruck
Man, I dislike drawing men. They're getting slightly less monstrous though. Practice makes distinguishable I guess.

The Aviator
While doodling this nice young lady, I developed a peculiar urge to design an entire series of "ladies of the night" in bizarre attire, so this one may be on-going, unlike "things in jars"-series.

Practice and Commission
Four five-minute sketches making use of http://www.pixelovely.com/gesture/figuredrawing.php an extremely useful and humbling tool. You can set the resource to specific time intervals to keep yourself on track practicing quick gestures or for longer intervals, after how aggravating five-minute is I'm tempted to try the same models for ten minute intervals each. (you can also get a version for animals)
