Psychedelic Zombie

I feel like this may have been the first time watercolor didn't make me want to rip all my hair out. Although, I did nearly drink from the cup of purple paint water; which had better not be non-toxic based on what was paid for it >:o

My two options upon erasing my pencil mess were to either to color this or make meatloaf. Clearly I have chosen the option of greater yield. I will watercolor this tomorrow, and then resume the never-ending pirate queen.

Part Two is only slightly further planned, I think four segments is a fair goal for a complicated mess though.

Part One of Pirate Queen

I hate to put up sloppy mess, but I'm currently unable to spend enough time eye-wise to bang out a completed piece in one day. So, here's a bunch of slop, and lines, and wiggly shapes that may or may not be there tomorrow. I figured wiggly mess would be more interesting than an elaborate tale from my satchel of infinite excuses. At least based on it's current state I will be forced to continue if not only to avoid the shame it currently forces upon me, a whole new facet of "forced not so daily art".

Axolotl Creatures Now in Three Easy Installments

Watercolor; I have never gotten through an entire watercolor prodedure without at some point in the process thinking "I hate this, this was a bad idea.". Trapped again. I have a little more to do on this but I gave up.

Creepy Sea Critters

For only one useful eyeball I find two unfinished critters to be pretty fair. Tomorrow they will be creepier and more colorful. 

Zombie Lion Tamer

Well the web log has been on a medical hiatus, "seeing" as one of my eyeballs up and went on strike. So, this piece was finished with my face about a foot closer to its surface than usual. Further work may be slow to arrive, or just extra wiggly, or bad.

I left todays' zombie Friday creation all pencil. I feel the strategic smudging and carefully planned eraser crumbs and stray dog hairs really add some refinement to the composition.

Post Number Fifty!

It seems as I have managed for 50 days consecutively not to fail to make something for on here, shocking. It is only fitting that post number fifty should be lazy, and half already done previously. Oh, well. Maybe planning will improve if I make it to posting 100 things.
